Starting Potty Training

Joshua slipped and fell into the toilet - I know its mean but its funny.

While I am on Christmas break I decided I would try to start potty training Joshua. He got some big boy underwear for christmas so I am letting him try and wear those as much as possible. He is doing as good as can be expected for just beginning so we will see how it goes. Keep you fingers crossed for us!!!

Christmas was good this year. On Christmas Eve we went to Jason's parents, MiMoo bought all three grandkids Christmas PJ's and Santa hats. They looked so cute in them!! We spent the evening there and then came home so Santa could come and bring the gifts to our house. We hosted Christmas day at our house and my parents, my grandparents and my sister and her family came over. It was fun but very crowded since our townhome is small. Jason Opdyke and his girlfriend Cindy stopped by in the afternoon. It was nice to see them since they live in South Carolina we don't get to see them that often. The kids got way too much stuff as usual and by the evening we were completely wiped out.

Playing in our First Snowfall

Brooklyn thought is was funny that Joshua's jeans were falling off.

We took the kids outside to play in the first snowfall of the season. It was very cold so we only stayed out for about 30 minutes. Gracie seemed to enjoy it, at least she didn't freak out over the snow. Ofcourse Joshua loved it and wanted to keep sledding down the hill. He was upset when we had to come in though.

Visiting Santa Claus

Every year Jason's work has Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus. This year we took the kids to have their visit with Santa. Grace did just fine just sitting on his lap and posing for pictures. Joshua however did not! As soon as we got within 3 feet of Santa he freaked out and started crying. So needless to say he didn't get to visit with Santa this year, Jason took him into one of the classrooms to work on a christmas craft instead. He made a Jingle bell necklace for himself and Gracie. We enjoyed some breakfast that included sausage, pancakes, orange juice and coffee for mommy. It was an enjoyable time. We saw Mrs. Claus through the window Joshua was scared of her too.
