Sleeping with Dirty Laundry

I have been home this week over Christmas break and one day I noticed Joshua was very quiet, I found him like this passed out in our room on top of our dirty laundry. He has a habit of playing with our dirty laundry all the time. He also likes to help Kori take the dirty laundry to the laundry room during the day. I think I will make Laundry his chore when he gets older.

1st Christmas!!

Joshua had his first Christmas!! Of course this kid was spoiled!! We woke up and let him open his gifts from Santa and then Kori, James, Brooklyn and Little James came over to open some gifts (we live next door to each other). We then headed to my parents house for Christmas morning. My grandparents were there too and we had breakfast and opened more gifts. This kid now has so many clothes and toys and his birthday is next month!! We then headed up to Jason's parents for a little bit to let the kids finish open up the gifts they didn't get to on Christmas Eve because of the Wedding. I would say it was a great 1st Christmas for Joshua although he won't remember it.

Christmas Eve 2006

Joshua's 1st Christmas Eve! We actually didn't get to have our traditional Christmas Eve at Jason's parents house this year because his cousin TJ got married so we went to the wedding which was in Smithville at the Bride's parents house and was very small. We got back to Jason's parents around 8:30 and the kids were tired but they were able to open up one gift each. Joshua received Legos from Susan Garcia. It is great this year for Christmas because Jason's sister Debbie and her husband Jeff came in from Denver this year, its so great to see them.

1st visit with Santa

Joshua met Santa for the first time today. He didn't cry at all which I was happy about. My dad's work has this annual meeting Santa event were you go and sit on his lap and get a gift. They also had cookies and juice which the kids loved. Jason was not able to be there because he is off in Washington DC for a Social Studies Teacher Conference so that was kind of sad. I was really happy with how today went it could have gone completely the other way. The gift that Joshua got was learning game to teach him colors.

When Daddy's Away...

CHESSE!!!

What Mom? I'm just waiting to see Daddy.

Plumber crack!!

Cutest Pic Ever!!
Jason left for his Social Studies Teacher Conference in Washington DC Thursday. It has been emotional for me to say the least. At least I can blame it on the Hormones, it's the first time Jason has left for more than a couple of hours since Joshua was born. We didn't know if he was going to make it out because of the ice storm but after a few hours on the runway he was off. He will be home tomorrow and I will be very happy! Joshua and I haven't done too badly but handling a busy baby all while I am in the 1st trimester of my pregancy and nauseated alot can be quite trying. Joshua did eat from a spoon for the first time yesterday!! I didn't get to take a picture because I wasn't expecting it but I called Jason right after. We have just been hanging out together and hanging out next door with Kori, James, Brooklyn and James. It is so nice to have them next door and have company, I don't know what I would have done it I had to be stuck in the house all by myself with a baby (the weather stinks, Ice and rain!). We will pick up daddy from the airport tomorrow morning and will be soo excited to see him!!

Joshua's 1st Thanksgiving meal

Mmmm that was good!

We had Thanksgiving at two places this year. First we went to my aunt Mary's in Lee's Summit and had a Thanksgiving lunch and then it was up to Jason's parents in Platte City for dinner. It was a very busy day a very filling day. Joshua seemed to enjoy his first Thanksgiving, it was food and that boy loves to eat. He didn't eat as much as I thought he would, I thought he would go to town but he ate like normal and enjoyed every bit of it.

Happy Halloween!!

It's Joshua's 1st Halloween and he was a Pirate! The weekend before we went up to visit my Grandparents and let them see the kids in costume. Then came actual Halloween and that didn't go so well. We first went to Jason's parent's and took pictures and got their candy then we were headed over to my parents house and Joshua just started having a fit in the car! Jason couldn't take it and decided to go home. Needless to say I wasn't happy and we had a fight. I felt bad because my parents didn't get to see him on his 1st halloween.

Carving our Halloween Pumpkin

Joshua got to carve his first halloween pumpkin (with help of mom and dad ofcourse!). He actually liked it, he dug right in and pulled out all the gooey insides. He was very proud of himself. We put a tealight in it and put in out on our front stoop. He likes to look at it.

Weston Red Barn Farm

We took Joshua to Weston Red Barn Farm for the first time yesterday. He got to pick out his pumpkin (okay Jason and I picked it out) and he got to see all the animals and play in the Hay stack. He had fun but I think next year will be better when he can actually walk around and do stuff. Halloween is getting close, I am getting excited but I still have to decide what Joshua is going to be!!

Going to be a BIG BROTHER!

We just found out that we are expecting our 2nd baby. It came as a complete shock especially since Joshua is only 10 months old. By my calculations the baby will be due at the beginning of June so Joshua and his new baby brother or sister will be only 16 months apart!! I go to the doctor for my first visit on November 8 so we should have a better due date by then. When we told everyone no one believed us, Jason didn't even believe me when I told him. We are in for one heck of a ride!!

First Train Ride

I found this place Northland Railroad next to the Line Creek Community Center. Its a miniature train for kids. For $.50 you can take a trip around the railroad they have in this field. They take you through a tunnel too. We went with my sister and her two kids Brooklyn and James who is really into trains. They loved it, Joshua not so much. He was terrified of the tunnel and I think it was too noisy for him. I think we will try it again in the Spring or Summer when he is a bit older and he can enjoy it some more.

Portrait Innovations

We went and had pictures taken at Portrait Innovations yesterday with Evelyn and they turned out pretty good. Joshua looks so dashing in his Chiefs jersey and Evelyn looks adorable in her cheerleader outfit. Jason got his picture taken with him too, I wasn't feeling well so I opted out of getting one taken.

Our Little Cowboy

We were in Babies 'R Us over the weekend and I found the cutest cowboy outfit for Joshua. It had the pants, jacket, boots and even the hat. I thought we would try the hat on him at the store and he looked sooo cute.

Already Driving?

We may be in trouble here! He is only 8 months old and already is wanting to be behind the wheel. We were outside the other day and Jason was cleaning out his car and he let joshua hang out in the car with him. He put him in the driver's seat and Joshua pulled himself up on the wheel. As you can see he likes it.

Pool Time!

2nd time in the pool and Joshua absolutly loves it! He is going to be a water baby. He loves, loves to SPLASH! Brooklyn and James don't like it to much though since he splashes them. He thinks it is so funny and just giggles, it is so fun to watch him!!
