Joshua Fractured his Elbow!!!

My poor baby boy!! Just a little over a week after Gracie comes home and Joshua fractures his elbow! I was tending to Gracie and all of the sudden I hear a thud, thud, thud. Joshua had tried coming down the stairs and fell off the last step! He cried but then went about his business, I thought nothing of it. Then later that night when Jason was giving him his bath he notice that Joshua would move his left harm and would cry if Jason try and move it. So we took a trip to Children's Mercy Urgent Care. They examined him and found that he had fractured his elbow, put him in a sling and had us make an appointment with Children's Mercy Hospital to have a cast put on. So Friday my mom and I will be traveling downtown and have a cast put on. He's not even two and will already have a cast, I feel horrible! He dosen't mind the sling though, he just acts like its not even there.

Gracie's First Trip to the Park

At just two weeks old she is venturing out to the park. Not that she can actually play but she can watch her brother and cousins play. She was very good she didn't cry, just hung out with me and aunt Kori while the others played in the sandbox and on the slide. She seems to enjoy the outdoors which is a good thing since I have a little toddler boy who loves to play outside.

Besides Joshua fracturing his elbow these past two weeks have gone pretty well with two small ones. She is getting up every 2-3 hours to nurse and sleeps pretty well. The one thing we have found out so far is that she is not to keen on my dad holding her, I hope that dosen't last too long!!

Taken off the Belli Bed

Gracie got taken off the Belli Bed yesterday after her test came back! I am so relieved I don't think I could've taken another day of her in that thing. So now I am back to holding my precious little one ever so close.

Belli Bed

Gracie has been put on a Belli Bed for her Jaundice. They were keeping an eye on her after she left the hospital because her count was a little high so we have been having to drive back to the hospital and have her blood taken every day until it goes down. They delivered the bed on Saturday night and we have to keep her on it unless she is being nursed or changed. I hate it because I can't hold my newborn when that is all I want to do right now. We will take her back to the hospital today and hopefully her count will have gone down enough to take her off the bed. She hates being in there but she has to be.

Bringing Gracie Home

Gracie came home on Friday June 8. My parents had been watching Joshua while I was in the hospital and they brought him home after we got home that afternoon. He wasn't going to stay with us, Jason's mom came down to get him so we could have our first night home with just Gracie. She did well her first night home just got up to eat and get changed. The second time around isn't as nerve racking. Pam brought Joshua home early Saturday afternoon and my Grandma Gray and cousin Shelby came down to see Gracie. Everyone was taking pictures of Joshua holding Gracie for the first time which he just loved. He has still been good with her even now that she is home only time will tell.

Introducing Gracelyn Jo Clifford!!

She's Here!! Gracelyn Jo Clifford was born on June 6, 2007 at 4:42 pm at Liberty Hospital. She weighed in at 7 lbs and 3 oz and is 20 inches long. She came out looking just like a Clifford! I had been pretty miserable these last couple of weeks and wanted her to come so badly. I went to the doctor on Monday June 4 and was told I was dialated to a 3 but as I learned with Joshua that dosen't mean anything. He said I could go any day, when I woke up on Wed. morning I was pretty sure she was coming because I had alot of energy I woke up at 6 am and did laundry! I went ahead and went into work because I have a history of false labor (5 times with Joshua). Around 9:30 I started having contractions and at about 10:30 I decided to call the doctor they told me to come on in. I went and picked up Jason and he drove me to the hospital. I was admitted at around 12:30, they broke my water at about 2:30 and she was born at 4:42. It went really quick just like it did with Joshua.

I couldn't be more happier!! Joshua is so far a good big brother all he wants to do is kiss on her but only time will tell how he will do with her once he realizes she is coming home with us and staying. Jason is so in love with her she already has him wrapped around her little finger and she's not even 48 hours old.
