Family Reunion in Lebanon, MO

We went down to Lebanon Missouri for a family reunion on Jason's side over the weekend. It was a day trip so it made for a long day. 4 hours down there then the reunion lasted about 2 hours and then a 4 hour drive back. It was fun I got to meet some family I hadn't met before and we got to hang out with Jason's cousin Melissa who then was due with her baby anyday. Since then she gave birth to a baby boy named Griffin on July 15. It's pretty neat because Jason and Melissa are about 6 months apart and their kids are going to be 6 months apart. Joshua seemed to have a good time he behaved at least and everyone wanted to play with him so I just got to hang out and visit.

Kitchen Sink Bath

Now that Joshua has gotten the hang of sitting up on his own we decided to give him a bath in the kitchen sink and let him play. He loved it!! I think we are going to stick with him getting baths in the sink for awhile, it actually helps save water instead of having to fill up the big bathtub. I got some video of him and he is just cooing, giggling and he absolutely loves to SPLASH that water. I don't mind the clean up afterward since he enjoys it so much.

1st Fourth of July

Joshua celebrated his first 4th of July by getting in the swimming pool for the first time. He didn't mind it at all. We hung out at my parents this year grilled out and the kids played in the kiddy pool my mom bought. We watched the fireworks and they didn't bother him one bit. I was very relieved since some of them are so loud I thought for sure he would cry. All in all it was a good time.
